This is the broad position of the United States government. This was made public recently when a top Army General in the US military reiterated the position branding Sierra Leone today under Maada Bio as a sponsor of terrorism.

What a serious indictment of Sierra Leone from the most powerful country on earth, America. It is no easy feat for such a negative rebranding of the country to come from the US government, which has made Sierra Leone officially a narco-state.

It is a far cry from the ridiculous bluff spewed by the failed SLPP regime in 2018 when the Bio presidency boasted, “We are here to help rebrand our country to international standards”. What a way to rebrand Sierra Leone! Shame on you, SLPP and APC slaves!

Last week, May 20, 2026, US General Dagvin RM Anderson did not mince his words when he addressed the House Intelligence Committee in Washington, DC, where he officially linked Sierra Leone with the drug cartels in Mexico. General Anderson, who is also the Commander of the US Africa Command AFRICOM, reiterated that Mexican drug cartels are directly involved in the highest consignment of cocaine seizure by the Spanish Navy, the drug ship that came directly from Sierra Leone.

The US Army General Anderson said the 30 to 40 tons of dangerous drugs intercepted in Spain on Friday, May 1, 2026, worth around $1 billion, were scheduled for Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, a ship that was loaded in Sierra Leone before it was seized.

This is a serious international scandal for poor Sierra Leone. According to the General, addressing the Committee under oath, disclosed that his intelligence can confirm that around 11 to 12 laboratories in the region were associated with the Mexican drug lords.

Since the revelation of the drug links to Sierra Leone, the useless SLPP regime and its collaborators in the APC leadership have been in total panic and meltdown, because they know that the intervention of the US government into the seized ship has escalated it. Sierra Leone has long been described as the hub of transhipment of drugs in West Africa and beyond. And with the emergence of the Dutch drug baron Jos Leijdekker, Maada Bio’s son-in-law, Sierra Leone’s SLPP regime has no place to deny the drug ship or hide anymore.

The present ugly situation the Bio regime has found itself in is fantastic news for the electoral justice fighters who believe that the 2023 elections were stolen by Maada Bio and his APC collaborators to deny the people’s mandate to elect the people’s choice Dr Samura Kamara.

But as fate would have it, the Almighty God is on the side of the majority of Sierra Leoneans who are patiently waiting for the international community to restore democracy in Sierra Leone, through tripartite, the only solution to get rid of the drug business in the country.

As already reported, the drug ship called Arconian was intercepted in joint operations involving the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Dutch police and Spanish. The ship’s origin was clearly linked to Sierra Leone. Foreign investigators are in Sierra Leone now.
