When I listened to the audio by Unisa Thorlu Conteh, setting the facts right and defending former President Ernest Koroma and our Presidential flagbearer, Dr. Samura Kamara against disturbing audio remarks by retired Colonel Idriss Kamara, one thing came to my mind. If every comrade made it his business to come out in defence of our beloved APC as Unisa Thorlu has done, the bigger picture would have looked brighter for our party in the face of Maada Bio’s devilish attempts to obliterate our party.

Yesterday, in a fit of exasperation at the damning, damaging and incendiary statements being made against our party by those bent on destroying the APC, I wrote the following at Facebook: “If you call yourself APC, please stop coming to social media to make audios  to wash our party’s dirty linens. You are not helping our party at this time with your rants. This is the wrong time for your disloyalty. The public is not the place to wash dirty linens. Let us handle our problems in -house and reform our party from within. How can you genuinely love something and you are joining enemies to frustrate and destroy it. Is that love?”

Today, I want to build upon my statement yesterday by appealing to all comrades of the APC. It is time for all of us to arise and defend our beloved APC. It is time to demonstrate our love to this great political institution, if you really love the APC. Our party is under attack. Our party is under a tremendous siege. If we do not stand up for our party now, Maada Bio and all those working overtly and covertly to harm our party will succeed. It must not be.

Yes, yes. Some of our leaders have made spectacular mistakes. It is due to their acts of commission and omission that we find ourselves under this siege today by a demonic and illegal president and his acolytes to not only lay our party to the dust but wipe it off the face of the earth. But to err is human and to forgive divine. It is time for us to forgive our leaders for any error they have made in the past and come out in their defence from this blitzkrieg of a monstrous siege they and our party are faced with presently.

I am very disappointed by the silence and inaction of some of you. You could do better, comrades. You cannot remain silent and inactive at a time like this when our party is facing monumental challenges of such gigantic proportions. You have to decide that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and IT IS TIME TO FIGHT. The fight has come right to our doorsteps. Our party is being villainously defamed. The APC does not deserve it.

Mind you, this is the APC, the party credited with almost all the socioeconomic and political developments in our country today. You cannot point at any infrastructural, social and economic development in Sierra Leone that was not executed by the APC. Had it not been for the APC and our former leaders Dr. Siaka Stevens, Major General Joseph Saidu Momoh and Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, Sierra Leone would have been a Stone Age country and a wasteland.

The APC does not deserve what it is presently undergoing in our country. What moral authority does the SLPP have to criticize and condemn us? What moral stranglehold do a criminal with blood- stained hands like Maada Bio and his violent, wicked, heartless and unpatriotic members of the SLPP have over the APC? Is the SLPP not responsible for every evil that has plagued our country since Independence? Can you name any sin committed against our beloved nation that does not bear the demonic mark of the SLPP? So, what moral authority do they have to seek to wipe us out of the face of the earth?  Compared to the SLPP, the APC is an angel, with all our mistakes.

Therefore, let us not sit down supinely and see the devil push the angel out of existence. Let us rise up and fight. Time for cowardice, lethargy and complacency is over . Time for recriminations, own goals and fighting ourselves instead of the enemy is over. In your little corner or neck of the woods, write in defence of the APC. Set up websites and forums. Produce audios and videos and defend our leaders and the party. We have to fight and save our beloved APC. Let us not be carried away by the propaganda against our party. We are better than the SLPP, with all our mistakes.

We are stronger than the SLPP with all their power of incumbency. Imagine with all the criminal activities, including a fake census and registration they performed for this election and the oppression and suppression of our party and our people, they still could not defeat us at the elections. They had to steal the elections in broad daylight. That shows that the APC is mighty and unconquerable. We can fight and defeat the SLPP and take back State House from them if we unite. PART 2 coming.
