US Envoy Hunt Visits Burnt APC Office in Bo Touched by Bio’s SLPP Thugs During June Polls

The American Ambassador and team paid a visit to the burnt APC District office in Bo, which was burnt down by the barbaric Maada Bio’s thugs.
It was a fact-finding mission by the American Ambassador David Bryan Hunt and his team who went there to get first-hand information about what transpired there during the chaotic June elections. The violent-oriented SLPP bandits were sent to the APC offices around the country to unleash maximum devastation on the premises, the Bo branch was no exception. Reports say Ambassador Hunt held fruitful discussions with a cross-section of Regional and District Executive and other stakeholders. He was welcomed by the Bo District Chairman Mr Amidu Keita. The Regional Secretary Legacy Sankoh catalogues issues that affected the party supporters before, during and after the elections. In his response, Ambassador Hunt disclosed that he was happy meeting with the team to get first-hand information about all that happened during the elections and how the party members feel about the just concluded dialogue. He assured that they will source funds to support the Peace Commission to have staff in all Districts to engage various groups to work towards preventing future ugly occurrences during elections.
The United States Ambassador Hunt who recently replaced David Reimer assured that those whose properties were destroyed will surely be supported to be relocated back to their various communities. A tour was made around the burnt party office.
