On Monday, July 27, 2026, one of the greatest and most fearless social media bloggers, Mr Alimamy Kargbo, popularly known as the Poison Tree of Koinadugu, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Balaba in Koinadugu District in northern Sierra Leone. RIP. (Photo: Late Poison Tree, RIP).

The great family man, Poison Tree, passed away to eternity on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, two days after the enemy of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, lost the ECOWAS crown to the Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. Poison Tree died knowing Bio had lost the ECOWAS chair.

For Mr Poison Tree to be told about Bio’s failure to get the ECOWAS chairmanship at the Lungi summit on Sunday, July 19, 2026, was a massive consolation for social media bloggers and the beloved family of Poison Tree. He would be smiling in heaven knowing he had won the electoral justice war.

Every patriotic Sierra Leonean who believes in the restoration of democracy should take courage from the Bio ECOWAS defeat, and the late Poison Tree is no exception. It is a massive consolation for us to know that Poison Tree knew that Bio had lost 48 hours before he passed away at the Government Hospital in Kabala. RIP.

As the funeral of the great patriot Poison Tree takes place on Monday, it is unfortunate that social media colleagues would not be able to attend to pay their last respects to him. Health and safety reasons for the bloggers are concrete reasons why they intend to boycott. RIP.

Even the late social media giant Mr Poison Tree, a family man who is survived by four wives, 17 children and many grandchildren, and a retired Staff Sergeant in the Sierra Leone Army, would agree with his fellow social media colleagues to stay away from his funeral because the violent SLPP police have evil intentions. RIP.

Maada Bio, a celebrated liar, killer and electoral thief of international stature, would love to see the great social media bloggers arrested, detained and even murdered. And the funeral of the Poison Tree on Monday is a perfect place for the Bio Kamajor militias to visit and unleash mayhem. RIP.

But the Bio regime will fail woefully because no social media blogger will attend the funeral ceremony on Monday. As painful as this action may look, the boycott is a necessary move to protect the gallant men and women in the blogging fight to free Sierra Leone. The Council of APC Media Bloggers Home and Abroad advised to boycott for safety reasons. RIP Poison Tree.
