Local Minister Seeks More Japanese Investments during Vital Visit in Japan

Significant business investment negotiations had taken place between Sierra Leone Minister and Japanese business agencies in Japan.
The Local Government and Rural Development Maya Moiwo Kaikai and his visiting team recently met with the Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mr. Kato as part of two weeks long visit in Japan. (seated second right with Japanese counterpart).
The minister thanked the JICA Vice President for the support his institution is giving to Sierra Leone and particularly his ministry, stating that even the President Ernest Bai Koroma is pleased with the work of JICA in the country. The minister succeeded in convincing the JICA top level management on the need to extend their project all over the country.
The JICA Vice President in his respond said they were privileged to have Minister Kaikai in Japan because of his strong leadership he is showing. The Vice President assured his institution's commitment to working with him on other projects.
In other engagement, the Minister Maya Kaikai also met with Dole, a juice and beverage manufacturing company based in Japan.
The company which has an employment number of ninety-nine thousand across their cooperation requested JICA for the minister to meet with them for his advice and further give them encouragement to open their company in Sierra Leone.
