Africa World Airlines Inauguration Boosts Air Transportation in Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone Minister of Transport and Aviation has recently performed the inauguration of the Africa World Airlines (AWA) in Freetown.


Reports say the inauguration took place on May 21st at Lungi International Airport where the Aviation Minister Kabineh Kallon and other distinguish personalities celebrated the eventual landing of AWA. The Africa World Airlines AWA is indigenous Ghanaian base Airline. And that was why the August occasion was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Aviation of Ghana and the Ghana High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.

Other dignitaries include the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Board Members and Staff of the AWA airlines. The authorities of the Sierra Leone Airport Authority, and host of other distinguish personalities were also present.
Air transport to and fro in Sierra Leone is comparatively expensive and the availability of more airlines will surely help competition and thus cut down exorbitant air tickets around the world.
