APC Minister Kaikai Welcomes 50 SLPP Youth Defectors in Kenema!!

Over 50 SLPP party youths openly declared for the ruling APC party in Kenema and were warmly welcomed by the Local Government Minister.

 

Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Maya Moiwo Kaikai recently addressed youths from the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party SLPP who wanted to join the All Peoples Congress (APC) party. The Minister, while welcoming the vibrant younsters in the presence of Chief Moijueh Gbetuwa aka Gbose-Gbose, Ishmael Sesay, Honourable David Soriba, Rtd Captain Tamour, reminded them about the good works of the current APC government of president Ernest Bai Koroma in the areas of electricity, health, education, agriculture etc.

He said lots of opportunities exist for the young people especially in the APC, adding that the government of President Koroma has done and is doing so much for the development of the nation, the empowerment and development the youth of Sierra Leone.

Minister Maya told the youth that as government they do not have any intention to shift the slated date for the 2018 general elections. The minister admonished the youth not to allow themselves to be used and misused by politicians and always avoid violence.

Speaking on behalf of her colleague converts, Hannah Jajua said the sufferness and ill-treatments in their former SLPP party have forced them to join the APC, the party she referred to as "caring and developmental."

She said they have joined the APC with all their hearts and with strong determination to work towards the development and victory of the party.
