ADP Leader Appears at Kenema Magistrate for Illegal Possession of Arms

The leader and chairman of the Alliance Democratic Party Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray has appeared in court for illegal arms possession.
This was confirmed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police East Alfred Karrow Kamara when he disclosed that the ADP leader Mr. Kamarainba (pictured) was arraigned before Magistrate Alhaji Sulaiman Koroma yesterday June 02 at the Magistrate Court in Kenema.
Reports say the ADP leader Kamarainba was arrested in Freetown by the Local Unit Commander of Daru Division Superintendent Kashew Kargo and escorted to Daru Police Division where he passed the night awaiting to be arraigned before the Resident Magistrate of Kailahun Magistrate Samai.
Superintendent Kargo noted that because Magistrate Samai of Kailahun jurisdiction court could not sit, and considering the nature of the matter, it was transferred to the Kenema Magistrate Court as provided by law.
AIG Alfred Karrow Kamara pointed out that in order to guarantee the fundamental human rights of the controversial ADP leader whilst in custody a free and fair trial will be done by a competent jurisdiction. The matter was adjourned.
Meanwhile, the ADP leader Kamarainha recently confirmed carrying arms and notorious thugs in his vehicle during the bye-election on Ward 025 Kailahun District.
Mr. Kamarainha and his notorious thugs allegedly attacked the Minster of Local Government, Mr. Maya Kaikai, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Sengu Koroma and the Minister of East Mr. Karamoh Kabba.
The police in Kenema are presently investigating one of the ADP Party notorious thugs and some of the arms confiscated are in police hands as investigations continue.
