This is his first official visit to Kenema, eastern Sierra Leone commencing a nationwide 'Thank you' tour. The President said his visit was a show of appreciation to the people of Kenema district who overwhelmingly voted him into office in the March presidential elections. He noted that the people of Kenema had always stood with and by him as evidenced in the huge votes he got from the district and promised to look into their development needs, the most neglected headquarter town in the last ten years of APC governance.
While commissioning construction work on roads in the district headquarter township, the President also disclosed government’s plans to improve electricity supply and most importantly improve on human capital development etc. Bo town also contributed tremendously in voting Maada Bio in to office.
