By a press release (08/06/18)

The National Grand Coalition NGC First Lady Mrs. Philomena Yumkella has made very timely donations to the disabled in Sierra Leone.

Philomena is the wife of the NGC leader and parliamentarian Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella. Reports say the Yumkella Lanyi Foundation, spearheaded by Philomena herself continues the philanthropic drive in Freetown and Bo in southern Sierra Leone. The Lanyi Foundation has recently donated food and none food items to the Sir Milton Margai Cheshire Home for disability persons and the Paul's School for the Blind and the Commit and Act Foundation in Bo City, south of the country.

In Largo Village - Bo District, the Yumkella Foundation also reportedly donated clothes, blankets and other relief items to fire victims in the village.

Lanyi Foundation is a local non-governmental and non-partisan organisation in Sierra Leone. It's primary objectives are Educational Advancement and Development for the less privileged persons and communities in Sierra Leone.

Lanyi Foundation operates in partnership with other NGOs like Caritas Sierra Leone, Tushi Foundation and Healey International Relief Foundation.
