Presidential Spokesman Carries ‘Know the 2018 Elections’ to USA
By a press release (26/04/17)
President Ernest Bai Koroma is a man of transparent and accountable govt and has graciously released his Spokesman to elaborate.
People are saying they do not understand what is going on with the forthcoming elections so we have seen there is need for sensitisation because our government believes in transparency and accountability.
President Koroma has therefore graciously instructed his Spokesman Mr. Abdulai Bayraytay (pictured) to come to the U.S and in collaboration with me at the Sierra Leone Mission at the UN and Mr. Pasco Temple at the Sierra Leone Embassy in DC, and officials of both diplomatic missions, will be engaging Diasporans in a "KNOW-EVERYTHING ABOUT THE 2018 ELECTIONS" Crusade.
We will have one town meeting in DC and another in New York during the last week of April and the first week of May. Prepare to come to ask all the questions you have about the elections and current events.
This government has nothing to hide because it is as straight as an arrow and transparent as a white garment. President Ernest Koroma wants to involve everybody, even Diasporans, whom he regards as the 5th District of Sierra Leone in governance issues, in governing our beloved nation.
Those of you with newspapers, radio and TV media outlets can start preparing to conduct exclusive interviews with the Presidential Spokesman about matters affecting our nation, especially the forthcoming elections. Do not rely on lies, fake news and partisan mumbo- jumbo. Come and hear from the horse's mouth what is going on.
The Minister of Information and Communication, Mohamed Bangura, might come too on another date to add icing to the cake, pending availability of time, because he has a very busy schedule too sensitising the whole country. We will keep you posted.
We will supply you the specific dates shortly that these meetings will be held in our various cities. The government is assuring you of free, fair and transparent elections. Please distribute to all media outlets.
