Alie Kabba's Dinner & Dance Fundraising in the US Collapses!
By Abu Shaw in London (21/12/15)
Nothing goes right for the flag-bearer of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party SLPP Mr Alie Kabba nowadays. Read the fundraising fiasco in America!
Alie Kabba's double sackings from his campaign team in America two weeks ago have had adverse repercussions on the much publicised Dinner and Dance Fundraising that was scheduled for December 12, 2015. It was doomsday indeed for Alie Kabba and his team in the aftermath of the last minute cancellation of the D&D fiesta!! (Pictured: Mr. Kemoh Sidibay).
Reports say it's no coincidence that the senseless sackings of the rock solid duo Messrs Kemoh Sidibay, former Campaign Manager and Barry White, the erstwhile Strategy Adviser, has resulted to this catastrophic tumble of the Alie Kabba campaign team in the US.
The Dinner and Dance event was cancelled at the eleventh hour for reasons that were not made clear, and now there are reports that those who have already bought their tickets are demanding a full and immediate refund.
Below is the verbatim press statement dated 11/12/15) released by the Alie Kabba team in America to announce the cancellation:
'Ladies and gentlemen, friends, supporters and well-wishers, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Alie Kabba Campaign Fundraising Dinner scheduled to be held in Washington DC tomorrow, December 12, 2015, has been postponed to a future date in the first quarter of 2016.
'The Campaign team will announce a date as soon as possible. Further announcement will be made within the next 24 hours regarding those who paid for tickets to attend the event. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and your continued patience and understanding is highly appreciated. Thank you.
It was signed by one Mustapha Mansaray, Co-Chair, National Advisory Committee Alie Kabba Campaign Team North America.
It is apparent that without the presence of these two sacked executive members, who were the main engine for the Dinner and Dance event, nothing positive would be realised as their assistants could not cope with the demands associated with hosting such an important campaign event.
As we go to press, nothing concrete has been decided as to how the refunds would be made to the disgruntled ticket payers.
