Mystery Fire Burns Seven Houses in Kowa Chiefdom Moyamba District

Mysterious fire has reportedly gutted down seven houses in Manihun Village, Moforay Section, Kowa Chiefdom, Moyamba District.

Reports say seven family heads and over 90 dependents are said to have been affected because of the fire according to Councillor Josiah of Njama in Kowa Chiefdom. (Pictured: Internal Affairs Minister Alfred Pallo Conteh).

The affected people in Manihun village are calling on the government and humanitarian organisations to come to their aid as soon as it possibly can.

Spate of fire accidents are common in Moyamba District mostly during the dry season. Months ago, a whole village along the Tiama/Njala Road was wiped off.

As we go to press, investigators have still not ruled out arson in this latest mystery fire in the village.
