By Philip Koroma (22/04/17)

A Sierra Leonean based in the US who aspired for the SLPP constituency 019 symbol in 2012 has been sued to court.

Reports have alleged that Mr. Musa Kamara, holding a dual Sierra Leone and US citizenship, was dragged to Magistrate Court in Kenema by one Mr. Sidie Yayah Fofanah alias D.J. Snow proprietor of Star Line Radio and construction company for obtaining credit by false pretence.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused sometimes in 2014 allegedly obtained a blue KIA jeep from Mr. Sidie Fofanah for five thousand five hundred United States dollars (USD5,500,00) and deposited three thousand United States dollars (USD3,000) with the assurance of paying the remaining two thousand five hundred dollars on his return to the United States of America.

According to the complainant Mr. Sidie Fofanah, the accused Mr. Musa Kamara has since deliberately refused to honour his payment agreement despite several calls made to the accused.

Mr. Kamara is also accused of sending his errand boy back home to collect fiscal cash from Mr. Sidie Fofanah whilst staying in the US on the promise and assurance of paying later.

Since 2014, the accused has not showed any commitment to paying the said sum thus forcing the Mr. Sidie Fofanah to summon him at the Magistrate Court in Kenema.

According to sources, the accused Mr. Musa Kamara has arrived in Sierra Leone from the United States of America where he has stayed for the past two years since he left Sierra Leone and has since not called Mr. Sidie Fofanah to inform him of his arrival.
