Freedom is Here! Tyranny is Dead in Sierra Leone!!

By Elkass Sannoh (18/04/18)

We campaigned on a platform of CHANGE demanded for by majority of Sierra Leoneans.

A decade rule of rampant CORRUPTION, Oppressive rule and poor governance structure. A government where square pegs were in round holes. Tribalism and regional affiliations took center stage. This is not the Sierra Leone our forefathers sacrificed for.

Sierra Leoneans resisted and refused a despotic continuity. As a journalist, we engender the debate and entrust our loyalty to the citizens. This was the reason why we advocated a COMPLETE CHANGE.

Many Sierra Leoneans are clamouring for President Julius Maada Bio to set up a commission that will do a brief comparative assessment of APC’s 10-year rule and come out with a summarised report on the status of the country.

That is, what amount was left in the national purse, MDAs performance contract signed with former President Ernest Bai Koroma, road contracts, donor supported projects and the implementation status etc etc.

This is important as it will give an insight to ex-President Koroma’s tenure. It will then prepare the stage for the NEW DIRECTION on a platform of accountability and change.

President Julius Maada Bio's life is an open book worth reading and emulating. He is coming to unify the country that was built on DIVISION and ETHNICITY. REGIONAL CRACKS and injuries in the hearts of many Sierra Leoneans.

Unlike Ernest Koroma, Julius Maada Bio should symbolize UNITY. He fought and put his life on the line for us to enjoy PEACE and not VIOLENCE, for us to enjoy DEMOCRACY and not POOR GOVERNANCE, for us to enjoy PROSPERITY and not AUSTERITY. This is a pay back time Sir. Congrats!

Congratulations from The Voiceless Sierra Leoneans. God bless Sierra Leone and God bless President Bio.
